Newport Music Club was founded in the 1970s and has since grown to become one of the most well-respected and established music clubs in the region.  The Club's objectives are to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals.  The Club is proud to continually attract artists of an international calibre and those at the beginning of their professional career as well as showcasing the cream of local music talent.

The concerts are split amongst two Newport venues: the 17th Century Adams' Grammar School library, and the recently developed Cosy Hall.  The Club aims to present a wide variety of musical styles and ensembles during each season which lasts from September until May.

Becoming a member of the Club allows the attendance of all six concerts of the season at a discounted rate.  Tickets for individual concerts are also available to the general public to buy on the door or in advance.

The Club also organises social and fundraising events so that persons with a love of music can spend enjoyable time together and raise money to cover the hiring of professional music makers at future concerts.

The Club is also supported by Grants from:

Boughey Trust

Newport Town Council

Newport Rotary

Lilleshall and Donnington Parish Council
